Nakzen Quartz Chronograph

I found a New Old Stock Nakzen Chronograph like mine on eBay. The seller went to the same watch school I attended only twenty years before me. He worked on my Parnis Seagull ST2530, essentially performing quality control (cleaning, oiling and adjusting.)

Quartz Chronograph

He titled his listing:

Nakzen Classic Quartz Chronograph Stainless Steel Wristwatch New-in-Box Quality!. Condition is New with tags. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.

Nakzen watches did not appear in US channels until 2014. In Asia, Nakzen maintains a mid-level profile in retail outlets. That surprises me because I have seen this watch configured differently and sold for about $275 - $450 in the US.

This configuration has a folding clasp with a safety. It comes with a calendar, luminous hands but it's barely water resistant. I saw it advertised with a Hardlex shatter and scratch resistance crystal.

I like the case. The manufacturer used a stainless steel block, pressed and milled it. That differs from watches prices in this area made with alloy injection molding. The measurements show a thickness of 14 mm with a dial diameter of 44 mm.

The movement sells as a part for about the price of the watch's listing. It's has a Miyota movement used in Casio and Epson watches.

It's available on eBay as of this posting.
